1. SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
Digunakan untuk mengungkapkan kegiatan atau kebiasaan sehari-hari atas pernyataan umum yang didasarkan pada kenyataan.

She also works as a tourist guide for some extra money on the weekends. She likes meeting people from different countries. She has a lot of work in the office. She answers a lot of different questions about places and locations. Tourists always have questions about the best way to get to some places of interest. They want to know about museums, movie theaters, night-clubs, shopping centers and other recreation places. Sometimes they ask her where they can cash traveler’s checks or where they can change their money. She enjoys working very much.
2. SIMPLE PAST TENSE
Digunakan untuk mengungkapkan kegiatan yang akan dimulai dan akan berakhir di masa lalu. Lebih dijelaskan dengan kata yesterday, … ago, last…., in 1990.

Princess Diana
Princess Diana was born on july 1, 1961, at Park House on the royal estate of Sandringham in Norfolk, England. She had two older sisters, Sarah and Jane, and a younger brother, Charles. She attended various boarding schools during her early years. Her favorite subject was English history. At school she studied ballet and tap dancing, and she also won swimming contests. When she was sixteen,she went to school in Switzerland. She studied French and learned to ski. When she finished school, she lived in London with three of her girlfriends. The two things she enjoyed most were dancing children, so she became a teacher at the young kindergarten. Her life was quite normal before she became a princess. In the evening, they attended the ballet or the opera. In 1982, their son William was born, and Harry was born in 1984. She enjoyed spending time with the children. She was also very busy with her royal duties.
After 15 years of marriage with Prince Charles, Princess Diana ended in a divorce in 1996. People were surprised to hear the sad news. People all over the world even more surprised to hear the news on her death in a car crash in paris on August 31, 1997.
